An... Expo!

Hello June! Summer begun with an Expo and a road trip to Athens! First time showing our game to the gamers πŸ™‚
Grow games Expo took place in the center of the city, in Technopolis which literally means “City of the Arts” and more than 30 teams gathered there to get in contact with the audience and communicate. It was an amazing experience and being able to discuss with the gamers was very informative! We were lucky enough to be exhibiting alongside with friends and havingΒ  Alex Koxaras of Origins of Audio on our team πŸ™‚

Lesson Learned, vol.1: Expos, conferences or wherever you can find gamers and feedback is a great opportunity to make your game better! Ξ™ would never have believed that people would want to spend so much time into helping us, giving feedback, sharing ideas and even answering a survey we prepared.

An... Un-conference πŸ˜€

Conferences are becoming a habit for Happyland Entertainment. We flew to Athens once more to attend Goethe is Game 2017 which took place in Goethe Institut Athens. During this event we played video and board games which were made in a Storytelling Jam last November and also talked, exchanged ideas with devs, artists, musicians and engineers. A highlight was when our friends Lucid Ferret got selected to present their game at AMAZE festival in Berlin!

In the end of the day, we were glad we attended Goethe is Game -despite the distance we had to travel- and realized how important it is to keep in touch with people who love games as well as people who love making them. It recharges the will to keep on trying! Can’t wait to reunite with everyone πŸ™‚

Ξ‘ Conference!

Our first official business trip! On February 2017 we attended White Nights Conference Prague ’17.
Thanks to SecGen for Media & Communication of Greece together with 9 Greek indie teams we traveled to Prague to present our games. We had the chance to discuss with publishers developers, marketeers and indies formfrom Russia, Armenia, Ukraine, Israel, Czech Republic and The Netherlands. We collected and shared valuable advice, info, ideas and tips and played amazing games πŸ™‚

“White Nights” was a revelation for us; we begun to understand more of how the industry of games works and returned more confident and determined πŸ™‚ (Inside info is that an ATHENS GAMES FESTIVAL will be organized in Athens! Wow!)
